Instagram Stories contributes a useful grammar: one focal card, finite progress, quick movement, and a clear end. Meridians reverses its incentives.

A Story should produce one outcome: I understand, I need to inspect, or I have a judgment to contribute. Otherwise it should not exist. “Caught up” is success: the next run is visible and the user can stop monitoring.
