# Domain settings `[UI]`

The per-Domain configuration modal — where a Director tunes how the expert *authors*: its generation direction, prose style, point of view, audio, and the AI model allocation behind it all. A tabbed `DomainSettingsModal`; Director-gated.

- **Direction carries the AI allocation.** `AiProfiles` / `AiProfilePicker` pick the active fleet profile (and optional per-category overrides); `GenerationControls` sets the generation knobs. This is the UI face of [ai-model-routing](../concepts/ai-model-routing.md) — choosing a profile re-routes every category's model live.
- **POV is a first-class mode.** Single / Ensemble / Free (default) shape how prose narrates — a domain-level authoring stance, not a per-scene toggle.
- **Style owns the fidelity axis.** The extractive/framed/generative anti-hallucination posture lives here (one named axis), driving the grounding block folded into every scene call.
- **Director-gated.** These settings change how the expert speaks for everyone; only the Director may edit them (`ACTION_META` category `edit`, area `governance`).
