# Stream

A single **perspective's** bearing on one open question, gathered over time as evidence lands. The per-seat unit of the belief layer, and — the load-bearing contrast with a Thread — **the staging ground for a change to canon**: a Stream accrues **priors** and what it settles is folded into the model by a **Merge**. It reuses the Thread stance machinery (named slots + a Stance of logits / volume / volatility, evolved by evidence), is **owned by one member against one perspective**, and its belief-log nodes are its **priors** — the seat's stream of consciousness as it thinks. Many Streams can hold the *same* question — each a different seat's independently-seeded leaning — forming a *local market* whose divergence is preserved, never averaged. Opened from a seeding intuition (prior #1), a Stream runs *open* while the thinking continues, *committed* when folded into a Merge, and *closed* once settled.
