when the question is answered or abandoned, staying readable as the **track the read walked**
(how the distribution moved, on what evidence, when). It reacts to both **user inputs** (a source, a
correction) and **world inputs** (fresh evidence), staged in **Stories** for the user to weigh in on.
*Position is a Fate-family artifact (an open forward read); it sits under Fate in Window Context. When the
stance-of-belief sense is meant, say **stance** or **leaning**; when "a position of trust" is meant, reword.*

### Verification vocabulary (2026-08-03 pivot)

The layer that turns a maintained model into a checked one. The methodology, stated once and reused
verbatim: **take time-bounded positions on the latest information, guided by causal knowledge of the
system.** This verification framing is dormant and no longer has an active mechanics specification.
