# Thesis

The causal argument a Position rests on: fresh evidence traced through the domain's graph to a
consequence **two or more hops** from the news. The thesis, not the ticker, is what is being tested — which
is why results are read **stratified by causal depth**. A one-hop thesis is a news read; a two-hop thesis is
the product's claim.
