# Signal

One **monitored evidence point on a Position** that moves the read — the Position-side
analogue of a Stream's **prior** (both reuse the same evidence→stance math; a prior seeds a Stream, a Signal
repositions a Position's read). Applied sequentially; a successful no-change Signal is
