# Trust weight

A per-**(source × domain)** weight computed from the source ledger — trust is domain-contextual (an outlet strong on rates can be weak on geopolitics). Corrections move it most, corroboration least; it decays toward neutral without reinforcement. Applied when evidence enters as a **bounded, clamped** adjustment to the evidence score — no source becomes an oracle, none is silently zeroed (a distrusted source still surfaces, weighted near nothing, so what's ignored stays visible). The persistent counterpart to the per-item credibility judgment: *"a plain web search trusts every link equally; yours doesn't"* — true over time, not just per-item.
