Category positioning
A maintained Domain for comprehension and consequential play. Meridians gathers current sources, valuable corpora, and authored canon into typed, inspectable compositions of System, World, and Fate. Its experiential advantage is total recall without total attention: durable world memory keeps source, structure, provenance, and history recoverable while the Program foregrounds only material movement. Scenario explores and develops the Domain at a branch frontier. Stageplay is the primary next narrative form, embodying accepted state as Episodes and developing the visual identity and explanatory grammar needed for deeper roleplay. A mature branch may later seed an experimental World.
The category is broader than a knowledge base, narrative generator, or one simulation. A Domain supplies programmable rules, playable entities, topology, and source material. The common engine supplies attributable state, branches, context, operations, and the MCP action surface. Presets make games quick to deploy; Domain-specific configuration and later custom mechanics allow different rulesets without inventing another authority or record.
The distinctive mechanism is situated information. Canonical state is not automatically common knowledge. Context is assembled for the character, location, artifact, or other entity being played. Information travels up, down, and within graph levels according to the world's communication regime. What a seat knows changes what it can recognize and do.
The persistent world is a lineage, not an always-on process. Every World is turn-based and declares active hours and rest. It may run briefly, continue for a season, sleep, resume, conclude, migrate, or be upgraded. Many Worlds may begin from any preserved branch state and become parallel worlds.
The grand horizon is an ecosystem of living worlds and intelligence. Information, artifacts, resources, reputation, money, and agent capability can support Domain-specific economies, competitive leagues, MMO-scale participation, and—where rights permit—licensed fictional universes. That horizon is primed iteratively through animation and textual simulation; external-value stakes remain separately governed direction, not the category claim or shipped product.
The current delivery boundary lives in Positioning; the concept contract lives in World.
